Objective: To promote local technology businesses through awareness, relationship building and business assistance, while creating new Chamber members each year.
- Keep the council accessible to all interested parties.
- Provide educational and networking opportunities that meet the unique needs of this business sector.
- Continue to develop key relationships with the City of St. Petersburg, Pinellas County Economic Development, other area Chambers, Technology/Manufacturing groups and STAR TEC accelerator.
- Assist the Chamber in understanding and meeting the needs of this economic sector initiatives.
- Continue regional quarterly meetings with the Clearwater Regional and Greater Tampa Chambers.
- Drive for larger attendance with letters of invitation to CEO, CIO, and Marketing Directors.
- Follow up articles and e-mailings describing events.
- Market the Technology & Manufacturing Council through all available municipal and community outlets.
- Target businesses for Technology & Manufacturing Council Sponsorships: Linvatec, Avaya, Certegy and Progress Energy.
- Drive Chamber membership by creating tracking database of all attendees, follow up with new attendees, creating integration with sales & membership staff.
- Conduct survey and focus group.
